NASA Announces Upcoming News Conference to Preview Historic Spacewalks 100 and 101
NASA has scheduled a news conference for Tuesday, October 20, at the Johnson Space Center in Houston to preview two upcoming milestone spacewalks aimed at completing the installation of advanced roll-out solar arrays and finalizing power augmentation upgrades for the International Space Station.
During these upcoming excursions scheduled for late October and early November, NASA astronaut Anil Menon and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk will step outside the orbital laboratory to install the final two International Space Station Roll-Out Solar Arrays, ultimately boosting the station’s total power generation capacity by up to 30 percent.
